Wendy Ward

I’m Wendy, an artist based in Los Angeles, CA.

I use words and images to bring emphasis to how the personal meanings we attach to them affect an individual and collective perspective. These works explore the dichotomy of old and new ideas relating to civics, psychology, physical sciences, technology, American history, American culture and the intersection of these disciplines.

In 2018 I wrote, produced and directed a short film inspired by The Women’s March and Dr. King’s final speech, “I Have Been To The Mountaintop”; featuring fourteen Womxn reciting a poetic statement embodying what it means to be a woman in America, past and present.

A native of Phoenix, AZ, I have lived and worked throughout Europe, Mexico, and Canada.

I have a B.A. in International Business and Society and studied International Marketing and Finance in The Netherlands.
